Project Description:
High-unit apartment projects require design discipline. So that due to the large number of openings in the facade, we should adopt the right strategy in order to achieve a continuous design.
The city of Qods residential building is a project which is formed in four floors on a pilot and sixteen units. Due to the large number of units and also large number of openings in the outer wall, the most important requirement of the project was creating descipline and harmony in the building facade.
According to the placement of windows and terraces in the outer wall, the project was designed in such a way that, in addition to creating an integrated volume, it also indicates the small units. The project was designed as an integrated brick facade, which in each floor and each unit, and some spaces protrude from the facade as wooden boxes. These boxes represent the small units of the complex and were formed on all walls of the facade. Alongside these wooden boxes, a space was designed as a fixed place for placement of the pots, so the project maintains its relationship with nature.
Eventually, a project was developed that, in addition to maintaining the overall integration in the project volume, number of residential units of complex appeared by wooden volumes protruding from the flat brick facade. Thus, we prevented from creating disturbances and disruptions in the project.
