Project Description:
Nowdays, in wood factories and workshops, many parts of the wood, after the cutting and custom build, are accumulated as flung and unused in a corner of these workshops, then thrown out as unusable materials. The issue that was considered in the design of this wooden door, was using these wood flung and excesses that are accumulated in a corner of the factories. We tried to use this thrown woods as recycled materials in construction. The wooden door is divided into regular grids of 15 by 15 cm, so because of the small dimension of it we would be able to use the flung. Then, by creating a gap in each of these wooden grids, we will find three different patterns that will result from the displacement of the gap. Afterwards, we sew these woods to each other with 2 cm steel pipes which give anti-theft properties to the door too. In this design, due to the different patterns created, many designs can be created that will make the design different. Also, a piece of wooden grid was colored that by displacement of the grids, this color creates a depth and difference in the design. This color can also get different colors to itself based on the order and the pattern.
Eventually, we achieve a design that in addition to using recycled materials and wood flung, it also has the ability of industrial production and creates many different patterns with different colors…. an idea for several designs….
